How outsourced design is usually priced
Most remote design services charge per unit or per case. Simple single crowns cost the least; implant, full arch and surgical guide cases cost more because they take longer and need more checks. Our own prices are listed on the pricing page, with crowns starting from $12 per unit.
What affects the price
- Case type: crown, bridge, abutment, denture, bar, guide or aligner
- Number of units in the case
- Complexity: implants, full arch, aesthetic anterior work
- Output format: STL only or native CAD project
- Quality of the scans — incomplete files add time
Comparing with an in-house designer
An in-house designer means salary, CAD software licences, training and a fixed cost in quiet weeks. Outsourcing turns this into a cost per case. To compare, multiply your yearly case count by the per-case price and set it against the full yearly cost of a designer.
